When you explain in depth complex translation problems to show how to solve them, you must overcome a big obstacle: To avoid bromides—like ‘You need to do more than just translating words with the help of a dictionary’ or ‘You need to understand the exact content and how it will be used’ or ‘You need to edit, proofread, and spell-check your translation’, and countless other more which are default steps for a professional translator—you need to always refer both to the source text and to the target text with detailed examples. This can result in hard to follow content unless you happen to enjoy the subject matter.
